In the early 1800s English and American voyagers introduced the Palaka print to the Hawaiian Islands. Palaka is known for being a strong woven cloth that is valued for its quality, durability, and coolness. During ancient Hawaiian times, this cloth was favored by local Hawaiian paniolos and ranchers. Polū in Hawaiian means blue, this color channelizes the power and ability of the Hawaiian goddess, Kapo.
All of our shirts have their own stories. We hand-cut, stitch, and sew repurposed vintage aloha shirts and bring them back to life. As a result of this, all of our shirts are unique and can be deemed one-of-one pieces.
